Presentation

In a context of strong interdependency between the EU's Member States, this conference aims to promote joint – rather than national – responses to the major energy challenges facing the EU today.

Political action in this field involves all of society, both financially and in terms of long-term energy choices. It is therefore essential to keep civil society informed and involved in the decision-making process.

In response to a proposal by Jacques Delors, the EESC and the Notre Europe think-tank are inviting all stakeholders to make their voices heard and come up with concrete recommendations, in order to set up intermediate operational steps on the way to the creation of a European energy community..
