Bronisław GEREMEK (1932-2008), European Deputy (ALDE) as well as an historian and brave defender of freedom, graced us with his presence at the European Estates General on 21 June 2008. We were deeply saddened to hear the terrible news of the passing of this great European on 13 July 2008. Below is the entire speech he delivered at the opening plenary session of the 2008 European Estates General.

Summary of the Second Europe Forum

Following the success of the Europe Forum in Lille, the second Europe Forum took place on 21 June 2008 in Lyons. This massive public forum, offered 20 discussion arenas and activities (Village of associations, European Youth Parliament, literary café, performances and games for children, exhibitions and concert) to debate the gains and perspectives of European citizenship.
